Having a conversation can be one of the hardest things you can do calmly when you're dealing with a Narcissistic personality. Every question you ask them, they will turn it on you asking you questions instead. They will create lies and twist your words, creating confusion to the point that you have no idea where the conversation even started or what it was about. The sad part is, they know exactly what they are doing! The longer they can keep you tangled in a conversation, the more supply they can suck out of you and the more life they can drain of yours! This is a manipulation tactic that they use and IT IS ABUSE! Holding conversations in circles that lead to nowhere but aggrevation and frustration for no reason at the end is a waste of everyone's time and gets nothing accomplished. One way I deal with it in a conversation with someone is asking quick, simple, yes or no, get to the point questions. The simpler the answer and the quicker I can get it, the better it is for me so I can carry on with my HAPPY day! I know they are just trying to stall and irritate me so prevention is the key to escaping with my sanity!
