The Smear Campaign: One Person spreading lies about another person, then the lies being spread to other people that believe it. It doesn't matter if you know it's a lie, if you are telling other people you are part of a smear campaign and could be ruining someone's Name, reputation and more. This affects their job and their co-workers or business and business reputation, their spouse and all their children and family including custody of their children in some cases. I also should mention the children your children go to school with and the parents of those children. You can start to see how a small community can have a great effect on one persons life.

I used to volunteer for a Food Bank in my community and I also worked many years as a caregiver and a tutor for children in Malton. These are two things I may not be able to do again!

Financial Abuse: Imagine your name being smeared, having no ID but a Health Card which is not accepted as ID, now try to apply for Ontario Works, open a Bank account, get a rental agreement, get a photo card, get a passport, get a drivers license, get a notice of assessment when all your online password are unsafe. I am currently going through this and as much patience and understanding as I have as a single person, imagine if I had a family or children! Imagine not being able to go to the local mall because of a smear campaign. Imagine not being able to go to the grocery store and buy food for your family, not because you have no money but because your ex was more popular where you lived and everybody liked him/her. Imagine you couldn't get into any account because your phone was tampered with, imagine you couldn't even order a pizza or any fast food! What would you do and what would your options be? Would you ask a neighbour? How would you explain it to them? What if they are friends with your ex?

It's a joke until you're in the middle trying to get out or figure out what happened!
